Steamed Zucchini for Baby

Original recipe from Annabel Karmel's book Top 100 Baby Purees.

Stage 2: 6-9 months

Ingredients:
  • 3 small zucchini, sliced (not peeled)
  • opt: real unsalted butter
Directions:
  1. Microwave: Place zucchini in bowl and microwave for 1-2 min, until soft.  
  2. Stove: Alternatively, place in a pan and cook on low about 10 minutes.
  3. Blend to desired consistency, making sure to blend out all skin chunks.  Add optional butter*.  
  4. If desired, thicken your puree with baby cereal.  Also mix with sweat potato or peas.
  5. Freeze or refrigerate extra baby food.
