Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 c peas, fresh or frozen (frozen package shouldn't have any salt or other additives)
- water
- opt: real unsalted butter
- Stove: Place peas in pot and add 1-2 T water. Cook on low 4-8 min (preferred for fresh).
- Microwave: Alternatively, omit water and microwave until tender (preferred for frozen).
- Drain peas but reserve the cooking water.
- Blend to desired consistency, adding reserved water as necessary. Blend out all chunks (including small bits of skin). Add optional butter.
- If desired, thicken your puree with baby cereal as long as your baby has already been introduced to cereal. Peas mix well with most other vegetables.
- Freeze or refrigerate extra baby food.
