- fresh or frozan green beans, trimmed and halved
- water
- opt: real unsalted butter
- Microwave: Place beans in a bowl with about 1 T water. Cover and microwave until tender.
- Stove: Alternatively, place in a pan with just enough water to cover, and cook on low 10-15 minutes. For adults, salt steamed beans or continue to make appropriate for baby.
- Blend to desired consistency, making sure to blend out all chunks (skins make beans difficult to puree well). Add butter and more water as necessary.
- If desired, thicken your puree with baby cereal as long as your baby has already been introduced to cereal.
- Freeze or refrigerate extra baby food.
