Our Favorite Salsa


Original recipe from Food Network.

Ingredients:
  •  4 cups fresh chopped tomatoes or tomatillos (2 cans drained)
  • 1/2 finely chopped green pepper or 1 can diced green chilies
  • 1 onion, chopped (preferable red)
  • 1/4 c chopped cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or 1/4 t garlic powder
  • 1 minced fresh or dried jalapeno or 1/4 t cayenne pepper
  • 1-2 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 t cumin
  • 1/2 t salt 
Directions:
  1. Mix and enjoy!  Serve with taco salad, burrito beans, taco lentilschips, etc.
  2. Out of red tomatoes?  Try making this delicious green tomato chutney.
