Pictured: basil pesto on no-fail pizza dough
Ingredients:
- 2 c PACKED fresh basil, spinach, parsley, OR cilantro leaves (basil for more conventional taste) *This equals ~6 cups loose leaves in blender!
- 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- 1/4 t salt (OR 1/4 t garlic salt in place of last 2 ingredients)
- 1/2 c sunflower seeds or walnuts
- 1/2 c olive oil, more as needed
Directions:
- Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Add more oil as needed.
- Serve with pasta, on pizzas or sandwiches, in a quiche, etc. Freezes well.
