Chili Powder


Original recipe from Whole New Mom.

Yield: About 9oz or 2 cups. Double this recipe to completely refill an 18oz container.

Ingredients:
  • 1 c paprika
  • 1/4 c oregano
  • 1/4 c cumin
  • 1/4 c garlic powder
  • 2 T onion powder
  • 1 T cayenne pepper
Directions:
  1. Blend (a wire whisk or pastry blender work well) and store as regular spices.  Use in place of chili powder.
  2. If using home-grown spice(s), shake or stir with a fork with every use to prevent sticking or hardening.
