Pulled Pork

Original recipe from About: Southern Food.

Ingredients:
  • 1 4-lb pork shoulder roast
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • 2 c (1 bottle) BBQ sauce
Directions:
  1. Place pork roast in slow cooker.  Sprinkle with 1 chopped onion, pour water over all.  Cook on low overnight or 8 hours.  Alternatively, cook on high 4-5 hours.    
  2. Drain liquid, discard onion pieces and excess fat.  
  3. Return meet to slow cooker.  Sprinkle with second chopped onion and pour BBQ sauce over all.  Cook on low 4-6 hours.
  4. Serve warm on sandwich buns with greens and tomato.  Also good on baked potatoes, pizza, etc.
