Cranberry Hootycreeks (mix in a jar)


Original recipe from All Recipes.

Yield: 2 dozen big delicious cookies

Ingredients:
  • 1 qt jar
  • 1/2 c + 2 T flour
  • 3/4 c oats
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/3 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c white chocolate chips

Directions:
  1. In the order listed, layer ingredients in a 1 qt jar.
  2. Attach a tag with the following instructions:
    1. Cranberry Hootycreeks.  Preheat oven to 350.
    2. In a med bowl, beat together 1/2 c butter, 1 egg, and 1 t vanilla.  
    3. Add entire jar and mix until well-blended.  Roll into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheet.  Bake 8-10 min.
    4. Yield: 2 dozen big delicious cookies
If you're not up for jars and gifts and just want to make some cookies, follow this recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/3 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c white sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/3 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 3/4 c oats
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c white chocolate chips
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.  Blend butter and sugars, mix in vanilla and egg.  Sift flour, soda, salt and oats, add to wet ingredients.
  2. Fold in nuts, cranberries, and chocolate chips.  Spoon onto cookie sheet, bake 8-10 min.
