Christmas Cookies

Easy preparation, festive colors, and yummy besides--these cookies are the perfect caroling plate giveaway.

Ingredients:

• 1/2 c butter
• 3/4 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 t vanilla
• 1 t almond extract
• 1 1/2 c flour
• 3/4 t baking soda
• 1/4 t salt
• 2-4 T red/green sprinkles

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350.  Combine butter and sugar.  Blend in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
2. Add dry ingredients, mix until smooth.
3. Place spoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet.  Bake 8-10 min.
4. Let cool 2 min on cookie sheet, transfer to wire rack.
