Crepes

Original recipe from family.

Ingredients: 
  • 4 c milk
  • 4 egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/4 c oil
  • 3 c flour (white or whole wheat, tho texture will diverge)
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t baking powder
Directions:
  1. Blend ingredients in blender. Alternatively, whisk dry ingredients.  Beat egg, then beat bean in milk, vanilla, and butter.  Whisk wet ingredients into dry, 1 cup at a time till smooth.
  2. Heat a wide-bottomed frying pan to medium heat, oil, and pour in batter 1/4-1/2 cup at a time, depending on desired thickness (and amount of time you want to dedicate to the stove).   
  3. Roll individual crepes with optional toppings:
    • butter
    • white sugar
    • brown sugar
    • powdered sugar
    • cinnamon
    • applesauce
    • freezer jam
    • fresh fruit
    • cream cheese
    • yogurt
    • whipped cream
