Breakfast Sausage Gravy

Original recipe from the Pioneer Woman.

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1/3 c flour
  • 4 c Milk
  • 1/2 t salt or bouillon 
  • 2 t pepper or to taste
Directions:
  1. In a large skillet over med-low, brown the sausage. Sprinkle in the flour little by little, stirring to moisten the flour and remove all white spots. Little by little, pour in the milk and mix well.
  2. Cook the gravy, stirring frequently, until it thickens, about 10-12 min. Add seasonings and cook until thick and luscious. Taste and adjust seasonings and liquid.
  3. Spoon sausage gravy over warm biscuits (or toast) and serve immediately!
