French Toast


Original recipe from Happy Healthy Mama.

Ingredients:
  • 10-15 slices bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 t vanilla
Directions:
  1. Heat skillet to medium.  In a shallow glass dish, blend eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  2. Dip bread slices one at a time in egg mixture, turning to coat.  Lay in pan and fry about 2 min per side.
  3. Serve immediately with butter, syrup, powder sugar, jam, peanut butter, fresh or thawed frozen fruit, etc. OR
  4. Arrange in one layer on a cooling rack, lay rack on cookie sheet, and freeze for 1 hour.  Transfer to an air-tight container and store in freezer for a quick breakfast.  Microwave and/or toast to prepare frozen French toast.
